Anthony Mullin Passed Thesis Defense!

Congratulations to Anthony Mullin! On March 7th, 2016 Anthony passed his PhD thesis defense. His Thesis topic is “Evaluation of Crack Sealing Techniques in Alaska's Asphalt Concrete Pavements.” During his study, Mullin systematically studied current cracking sealing practices through a comprehensive literature review. The project then took Mullin to many of Alaska’s old roads and highways to gather both quantitative and qualitative data, including the Alaska, Elliott, Glenn, Parks, Steese, Sterling, and Tok Cutoff.He analyzed data using different evaluation methods and statistical techniques. Sealing recommendations that have a positive impact on highway agencies’ budget were provided.  He is continuing to teach engineering courses for University of Alaska Anchorage. Congratulations, Anthony!
