The high quality electrical and computer engineering degree programs at UAF provide excellent preparation for the world of professional engineering. Our graduates have successfully completed advanced degrees at the most respected graduate schools in the country. UAF electrical and computer engineering graduates typically pass the Fundamentals of Engineering examination, taken throughout the United States, at a rate 20% higher than the national average.
Class sizes are small so a student is treated as an individual, not just a number. Accessible and supportive professors teach all courses from first-year introductory classes to graduate courses with student success being our highest priority. The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department has newly renovated laboratories with modern, state-of-the-art equipment to provide a wide variety of hands-on experience to undergraduate students. Undergraduates have twenty-four hour/7 day access to instructional laboratories. This is virtually unheard of at other universities. Work-study, summer internships and research opportunities are available for undergraduate students.
