CEM hosts Engineering Open House 2/22
The University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Engineering and Mines will host a full slate of free family-friendly events Saturday, Feb. 22 during its annual Engineering Open House. All events start at 11 a.m. and run until 3 p.m. in the Duckering Building on the UAF campus.
Activities and demonstrations include the Micro Mouse, an earthquake simulator, the student rocket and satellite project, using supercomputers, building gum drop bridges and much more. Download the 2014 Open House program to see a list of all the events.
The open house takes place in conjunction with National Engineers Week, an annual event to increase public awareness and appreciation of engineers and their work.
The Engineering Open House is sponsored by the UAF College of Engineering and Mines and by Flint Hills Resources.
